Fengxian Lvzu Temple Taoist temple. Located in Nanqiao Town, Fengxian County, Shanghai. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795), Huang Chujian, a native of the area, was a benevolent man who set up a medicine room to help the sick. He also built the Lvzu Temple, which later received a calligraphy inscription from a wandering Taoist priest that read “Nanpu Xianzong” (Southern Town Immortal Footprints) and the couplet “Songjiang Luohua Zhihuayuan, Yunxi Liushui Zhixianyuan” (Songjiang's fallen flowers know the crane courtyard, Yunxi's flowing water knows the immortal source). Since then, the temple has been famous far and wide for its flourishing incense. It was later abandoned.
