Shahe Zhenze Temple is located in Zhaosishui Village, Shahe City, Hebei Province. It was built during the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (713-741), and has been repaired and expanded over the centuries. By the Ming Dynasty, it had become a large Taoist temple. At that time, the temple had twelve halls, including the halls of the Jade Emperor, the Goddess of Mercy, the Immortal Lü, the Ten Yama, the Medicine King, the God of Fire, the God of Flowers, the God of Wealth, the Great Sage, the Goddess of Mercy, the Earth God, and the Two Immortals. There were also countless other buildings, including the Taoist quarters, the dining hall, and the veranda, covering an area of more than 20 acres. On the first day of the third lunar month and the 24th day of the ninth lunar month, the temple is filled with smoke and people come and go. Outside the temple, there is a constant stream of cars and people, and the temple is bustling with vendors. It is now one of the Taoist activity venues in Shahe City.
