In ancient times, there was a man named Ge Yu, who used to hold a yellow dog and roam around the area of Qiwai I Longzhou (part of Shaanxi and Gansu). He drank wine when it was offered to him, but disliked other food. He loved to communicate with monks and Taoist priests, and every night, he rested in the countryside. The Taoist priest Wang Feng had great admiration for Ge. -On one occasion, Ge used to suddenly say to, "Why don't we take a trip together on this dog?" Wang Feng was skeptical and asked, "How can you ride this dog?" Ge Yu said, "This dog is good at walking."

    So the two of them mounted the yellow dog together. The yellow dog suddenly shrugged and leaped, as if flying, and in a moment, it flew away from the ground for about ten thousand miles, and arrived at a mountain. This mountain peaks surprisingly beautiful, the landscape Cheng Lang quiet, and the earth is different. Then the two together down the back of the dog, hand in hand into a cave, see which exotic tree branches shade interlinked, a variety of famous flowers rosy open, high pavilion, pavilions, mostly facing the green water and built. Following, and into a red house, there are three women out to meet them. They are all jade-like beauty, really rare in the world. Each of them seemed to be an old acquaintance, and invited them into an upper floor. And looking down, they were surrounded by a jade-colored balustrade, and the doors of the building were hung with curtains of pearls, and the chamber was furnished with beds of jasper. So they took out the agar and drank it. The three girls sat around, for a while, playing the pianoforte and blowing, and no longer adhere to the etiquette.

    When twilight was approaching, Ge Yu said to Wang Feng, "These three girls are immortals, and they met here by chance; I know this news, so I came here with you to visit them. Now that I have had my fun, I should go back, and if I stay here for a long time, I can't help but be concerned that I might hinder the three girls from playing with themselves." So he went out of the cave with Wang Feng, and the two of the women were sent to the door of the cave. Ge Yu: Turning back to the girls, he said, "We will meet again today next year." After parting with the ladies, he mounted the yellow dog again and returned to the area of Qi and Long. Three years have passed on earth since they made such a one-day journey.

  古时候有个叫葛用的，经常牵一头黄犬，在岐外I陇州(分属陕西、甘肃)一带漫游。有人给他酒他就喝，但不喜欢其他食物。他喜爱和僧人道士交流，每到夜晚，就在郊野歇宿。道士王奉对葛很敬仰。—次，葛用忽然对说：“不妨一起骑此犬一游。”王奉怀疑地问：“这犬怎么可以骑呢?”葛用说：“这犬善于行走。”

    于是二人一起骑上黄犬。这黄犬忽然耸身一跃，就像飞起来一样，顷刻之间，便飞离地面约—万余里，到了一座山前。此山峰峦出奇的秀丽，风景澄郎静谧，和人间不同。随即二人一起下了犬背，携手进入一个洞中，见其中奇异的树木枝荫交络，各种名花烂漫开放，高峻的楼阁、台榭，多半面临绿水而建。跟着，又进入一间朱红房子，有三个女郎出采迎接他们。她们都美玉般的丽质天生，实在是世间所稀有。一个个都好像是老熟人，将他们请进一座楼上。看下去，周围是翠色的栏干，楼门上挂着珍珠的帘子，室内摆设着碧玉的床。于是拿出琼浆，—起酌饮。三女郎杂坐周围，一会儿，弹笙吹箫，不再拘泥礼数。　　

    到暮色将临，葛用对王奉说：“这三个女郎都是神仙，偶然相聚在这里，我知道这个消息，所以和你一起来此拜访。现在既已尽欢，应当回去了，在这儿久留，不能不有顾虑，生怕妨碍她们三女伴自己游戏。”于是与王奉一起出洞，女子中的二人也送到洞门口。葛用：回头对女郎说：“明年今日再相见。”与女郎别后，又骑上黄犬，回到岐、陇一带。他们这样的一日游程，人间已过去三年了。
