The Taoist Way is a panacea, and the Xuan De is far-reaching. The five thousand words of Laozi are aimed at honoring Taoism and virtue. Yan Junping "Lao Zi Guide" said: "the image of the Supreme, no higher than morality." Yu arrangement "Taoist doctrine pivot" said: "moral, the virtual extreme of the metaphysical ancestor, the depth of the wonderful." Wu Yun, "Xuan program theory" said: "What is the Tao? The system of nothingness, the root of creation, the root of the divine, the source of heaven and earth. What is the virtue? The endowment of heaven and earth, yin and yang. However, through the birth of the so-called Road, Road solid no name; animal and into the so-called Germany, Germany solid no name. Heaven and earth, human beings, immortals, spirits, ghosts and gods cannot be born without the Tao, and cannot be realized without virtue. The truth of the Way and the goodness of virtue are shared by heaven and man, throughout history. The true Tao is the most virtuous, nameless and invisible, containing and nourishing all things. The scripture says: morality is one, but for two purposes; there must be morality in the Tao, and when morality is ready, the Tao is complete. The morality of having a name and a title is evident in human relationships, beneficial to the culture, and rooted in the simple goodness and simplicity. If it is the Tao, then it advances; if it is not the Tao, then it retreats; if it is good, then it is good; if it is good, then it is good. Taoism teaches people to practice human morality as a step into the real and Taoist, advocating love and charity, charity and benefit others, accumulation of merit and virtue, self and others, until the merits of God, the immortal way forever. Therefore, Taoism is the foundation of the religion of Taoism.
Tao Te Ching is not only an important classic of Taoism, but also a treasure house of wisdom of human civilization. In the process of passing down the Tao Te Ching, calligraphers and good Taoist writers have written and taught it. From the past to the present, the art of calligraphy and Taoism have complemented each other, and the art of calligraphy has always been based on the Tao of the Supreme Being. In order to carry forward the tradition of Taoist culture, Qingyang Guan of Zherong County, Fujian Province, featured a collection of eighty-one calligraphers writing the Tao Te Ching, inscribed in stone, set up a monument forest, preaching Taoism through books, a collection of all the wonders. This is the calligraphy and Taoism a great event, so I am happy for the preface.
大道泛兮,玄德深远。太上老子五千言,大旨在尊道贵德。严君平《老子指归》曰:『太上之象,莫高乎道德。』盂安排《道教义枢》曰:『道德者,虚极之玄宗,妙化之深致。』吴筠《玄纲论》曰:『道者何也?虚无之系,造化之根,神明之本,天地之源。德者何也?天地所禀,阴阳所资。然则通而生之之谓道,道固无名焉;畜而成之之谓德,德固无称焉。天地、人物、仙灵、鬼神,非道无以生,非德无以成。』道之至真,德之至善,天人共契,亘古通今。真道至德,无名无形,含养群有,显著万物。经曰:道德一体,而为二用,有道必有德,德备则道全,道之在我,德之在我。有名有称之道德,显于人伦,益于风化,归根于淳善朴真。是道则进,非道则退,上善若水,上德不德。道教教人践行人伦道德以为入真合道之阶,倡导慈爱和同,慈善利人,积功累德,度己度人,直至功德成神,仙道永远.故道德者,乃道教立教之宗本也。
《道德经》既是道教的重要经典,也是人类文明的智慧宝库。在《道德经》的传世过程中,历代书法家及好道之士书写传授功不可没。鉴往观今,书艺道韵,相得益彰,书法之艺境,亦莫不以太上之道为旨归。为发扬道教文化之传统,福建省柘荣县清阳观特征集八十一位书法家书写的《道德经》,铭刻于石,立成碑林,以书传道,众妙骈集。此诚书法界与道教界一大盛事也,故乐为之序。
