One of the Taoist thunder gods. According to Volume 5 of "Three Religions Origin and Flow of Gods", his name is Xin Xing, his courtesy name is Zhenyu, and his mother's surname is Zhang. He was poor since childhood and made a living by collecting firewood. He supported his mother and worked very hard. He was originally from Yongzhou. His residence There was a Thunder God Mountain where he lived. On the day of the Waking of Insects, there would be loud thunder and everything would break. In summer and autumn, the Thunder God would hide underground and turn into a chicken. One day, Xin Xing went to the Thunder God Mountain to collect firewood. In the quiet valley, he caught five Thunder Gods that had just turned into chickens. He was very happy and wanted to kill them for his mother to eat. After returning home, Xin Xing gave the chickens to his mother and went to sell wood. His mother locked four chickens in a chicken coop and left one to kill. Suddenly, the chicken spoke like a human: "I am the Thunder God. I cannot be eaten. Please spare my life!" His mother did not agree and killed it with a knife. Suddenly, there was a loud thunder and his mother fell to the ground. When Xin Xing returned home, he saw that his mother was dead. He hugged her body and cried, "How could I have ended up like this!" When he wiped his tears, Xin Xing saw golden words on his mother's back, which said: "The spirit of unity, the hero of the Green Emperor, the mighty order, I dare to fight, I will destroy evil and punish evil, I am the one who controls life. "Just now I knew that the chickens were transformed by the Thunder God, so I picked up a wooden stick and hit the other four. The Thunder Chickens were covered with clothes and could not emit thunder and lightning. Suddenly, dark clouds gathered, thunder and lightning struck, and the Thunder God wanted to hit Xin Xing, but felt that his filial piety was rare, so he turned into a Taoist priest and knelt down to the ground, bowing to him and said: "The filial son is not afraid of thunder and can control it. I, the Thunder God, accidentally hurt your mother, please don't blame me, we are willing to obey your orders to apologize for your sins. "So he gave him twelve fire pills to eat, and Xin Xing immediately turned into Thunder God, stepped on the five thunder drums, and went straight up to the sky. He was named the Marshal of Thunder by the Jade Emperor. It is said that the 25th day of the sixth lunar month is the birthday of Marshal Xin. People who worship the Thunder God eat vegetarian food on this day, which is called "Leizhai". For example, Volume 1 of "Zhu Ding Yu Si" quoted Gu Lu's "Qing Jia Lu" in the Qing Dynasty: June 25 is the birthday of Xin Tianjun, who is said to be the chief god of the Thunder Department. Those who worship Leizhai eat vegetarian food on that day to pray for the blessing of the gods. In addition, the Xin day and the sixth day of the month are commonly called "three Xins and one board, six days without dizziness", which is called "Xinzhai".
One of the gods of thunder in Taoism. According to the Complete Collection of Three Religions, Pang Qiao was born on the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year of the reign of Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty. Pang Qiao was kind-hearted since childhood, never picking up lost items, and always saving people in distress. One evening on the Double Ninth Festival, a merchant went home to ask for a ferry, but accidentally left 100 taels of gold on the boat. The next day, the boatman came and was extremely worried. Pang Qiao immediately returned the gold intact to the boatman. The boatman was so grateful that he took out a flower to express his gratitude, but Pang Qiao politely declined. Two days before New Year's Eve, a young woman came alone to seek a ferry. It was late at night and snowing heavily. The woman had nowhere to go. Pang Qiao stayed at his home to warm herself by the fire and gave her food and clothing. The next day, after the snow stopped, the woman disappeared. On the third day, Pang Qiao was busy meeting passengers on the boat. His father Pang Ding was wearing a straw raincoat and rowing the boat to ferry passengers, while the woman followed behind. When the boat was returning to the shore, a strong wind blew and the boat capsized. Pang Qiao saw this and quickly jumped into the cold river, drifting with the current. If he could float, he would swim directly to the place where his father fell into the water, dive into the water, carry his father on his back, and swim to the cliff. At the edge of the cliff, Pang Qiao had done his best, but another wave came and immediately swept Pang Qiao and his father into the water again. Pang Qiao tried his best to rescue his father and then looked for the woman. He dived into the water three times before he rescued the woman. It was New Year's Eve, and ghosts were coming in and out, crying for justice and replacement. Pang Qiao was a pure spirit of 16, with Kan as his residence, and the boiling waves could not harm him. The woman was the incarnation of Cihang (Guanyin), so of course she was fine. Pang Qiao's father was not in danger either. Pang Qiao hugged his father and cried loudly, and dozens of ghosts also cried, "I should have been replaced this year, but I was driven away by a filial son, and I will never be reincarnated again! "After hearing this, Pang Qiao picked up a whip and beat the ghost, and the ghost fled. The next night, the ghost came to cry again. It was a cold wind, and the ghost cried miserably. Moreover, his father had just survived the turbulent water and his physical condition was particularly poor. His life was still in danger. Pang Qiao had no choice but to stick incense dust on his palm, smoke it with fire, and pray to the sky. After the Jade Emperor knew about it, he named him the Marshal of Hunqi, holding the golden moon and guarding the gate of heaven. Later, he was named the Lord of Thunder, who could eliminate demons and evil without any harm.

He also refined the five-color fire hail wind and thunder array, and helped Xuanyuan to kill Chiyou. Emperor Xuanyuan worshipped him as the Dragon Master. There were ten suns in the sky, and the red earth was thousands of miles long. The star officials were likened to the heavenly workers. The emperor woke up from hibernation and established the heart of heaven and earth. The commander followed the Jade Emperor's order and drove the thunder chariot with the lightning flag. It was rainy at that time. At the end of the Han Dynasty, demons were rampant and adultery was rampant.
