At that time, the Supreme Taoist Lord and the holy multitude, in the forest of the Eight Immortals, in the seven-jeweled throne, arranged the rituals, expounded the Tao, and sat in meditation, in the Jade Capital Mountain, releasing the seven-jeweled light, illuminating the Hall of Blessings and the Hell, seeing that within the Hall of Blessings, the virtuous men and women were happy and carefree, at ease and free, and seeing that within the various Hells, the hungry ghosts and poor souls were suffering all kinds of suffering day and night. There was no human form. Their bodies were rotten, they ate fire to quench their hunger, they drank molten copper to quench their thirst, they walked on mountains of swords, they carried iron rods on their backs, they bled all over their bodies, and they wailed in grief to the heavens. At that time, a true man named Guangxin stood up from his seat, bowed, and said to the Daojun, “I don't understand what these poor souls did in their lives to deserve such suffering.
The Taoist Lord said, “Those who suffer these punishments did not respect the three lights when they were alive, bullied the gods, committed the ten worst crimes, were unfaithful and unkind, were not kind or filial, harmed living things, killed living beings, and when their good fortune was exhausted and their lives ended, they should suffer these punishments. At that time, the true man Guangxin felt compassion in his heart and wanted to help him. Fortunately, he was blessed with the power of the Taoist Lord and was allowed to be saved. for all living beings, expounded the sutra, called “Resolving Grievances and Removing Sins,” and spread it throughout the world, benefiting the living and the dead. If there are good men and women who are single-minded and dedicated, who enter into meditation and fast, burn incense and walk the path, and recite the sutra six times a day, I will grant their wishes and bless them, so that their past life grudges and hatreds will be transcended with blessings, and their ghosts will be relieved of their suffering and each will be elevated. The true man Guangxin, rejoicing and bowing again, saw the thread of victory and composed the following verse:
Great is the Lord of the Great Dao, always working tirelessly to save the living and the dead, crossing the sea of life and death, rescuing those who are in the netherworld, and never again encountering those who have committed crimes. The blessings of the dead and the living are connected, and the power of the gods is immeasurable. It is impossible to praise them enough. At this time, the Great Daoist, together with the holy multitude, after hearing the Dharma, each bowed their heads and accepted it, believing and practicing it.
尔时，太上道君，与诸圣众，在八骞林下，七宝台中，罗列威仪，敷陈道要，怡神默坐，于玉京山，放七宝光明，照福堂地狱，见福堂之内，男女善人，快乐无为，逍遥自在，复见诸地狱之中，饿鬼穷魂，以日继夜，受种种苦恼。悉无人形。五体坏烂，饥餐猛火，渴饮熔铜，足履刀山，身负铁杖，遍体流血，悲号彻天，是时，会中有一真人，名曰广信，从座而起，稽首前进，上白道君曰，不审此辈穷魂，生有何咎，而受兹苦。
道君曰，受诸罪者，在世之时，不敬三光，欺负神理，十恶五逆，不忠不仁，不慈不孝，毁伤物命，杀害众生，福尽寿终，当受斯苦，是时，广信真人，心生哀悯，欲其济拔，幸望妙力威光，许令开度，伏蒙道君，垂赐金言，广设法要，为诸众生，演说是经，名曰解冤拔罪，流布于世，利益存亡，若有善男子、善女人，一心专志，入静持斋，焚香行道，六时转念是经，吾当随愿，保佑其人，使宿世冤仇，乘福超度，幽魂苦爽，各获超升，真人广信，欢喜再拜，尔见缕胜因，而作颂曰：
伟哉大道君，常普无量功，舟楫生死海，济度超罗酆，罪对不复遇，福报与冥通，用神安可测，赞之焉能穷，是时广信真人，与诸圣众，闻法将毕，各各稽首皈依，信受奉行。
