《 悟真 》曰：“契论经歌讲至真，不将 火候 著于文。要知口诀通元处，须共神仙仔细论。”又云：“卦中设象本仪形，得象忘言意自明。举世迷徒惟执象，却行 卦气 望飞升。”上阳子曰：“大道从来是强名，阴符道德始存经。神仙次第丹经续，口诀安能纸上明。”此皆言读经书而不可偏执经书也。夫经书典论，千比万喻，所以为后世学人开明路，指大道，劈邪示正。其中药物真假、作用是非、工程次序、修性修命、无一不备。但其言幽隐，其理深奥，以有形比无形，以有象喻无象，非可以粗阅而知，亦非可以私猜而晓。况性命之学不比世间有形有象之物，能以显言明书。至于性命之所以然、大道之所以妙，议之则非，言之则失。丹经子书虽极力形容，有言之而言不及，书之而书不出，其能言能书，亦大略耳。学者用心钻研，会的大略，便能识的门户，分的邪正。从此再求明师，方有进益。若执经书以意猜度，依己偏见，自谓道即在是，再不就证于有道，误之甚矣！故弃经书，全不理论，固是大错。若执经书，再不求人，更是大错，弃书执书皆非也。世间糊涂学人，看过几卷丹书，见有铅汞砂银之说，不入于 服食 ，便归于 烧茅 ；见有男女彼我之说，不入于闺丹，便归于采取；见龙虎龟蛇之说，不疑为肝肺，便认为心肾；见颠倒逆运之说，不疑为后升，便认为前提；见清净无为之说，不疑为空寂，便猜为存想；见以术有为之说，不疑为搬运，使误为扭捏；见泥丸、黄庭、元关、 众妙门 、 昆仑顶 等说，便疑为色身有方有所之 穴窍 ；见 谷神 、 婴儿、圣胎 、金丹、法身等说，便疑为身内有气有血之结聚。如此之类，不一而足，各凭己见，自拈门户，以假为真，碌碌一生，终无所成，不但无益，而且有损。原其故，皆由执书为道，不求明师，中了书魔，误了大事。圣人云：“博学之，审问之。”若知博学而不审问，所谓“ 饶君 聪慧过颜闵，不遇真师莫强猜”者是也。吾劝真心学道者，速将书魔关口打通，不要为书所误。先须细玩经书，辨别邪正，认定门户，访求明师，以证是非。万不可自作聪明，似是而非，草草了事。否则，执书为道，自以为得。妄想成道，难矣！

I advise sincere learners to get through the demonic barrier of books and not to be misled by them. First of all, we must play carefully with the scriptures, identify the evil and the positive, identify the gateway, visit the master, in order to prove the right and wrong. Do not be clever, plausible but not true, hastily. Otherwise, the book for the road, think they have. Delusion to become a Tao, difficult to carry on!
